Anyone who makes their own bait should take a look at the new products from John Baker Baits. There are two new base mixes - taste4barbel and taste4carp - and a new range of flavours called the John Baker Special Reserve Flavours. These unique flavours have only recently become available despite having been tested and proven over several years. They are truly outstanding attractors for carp and barbel and are highly effective in the new taste base mixes. Suggestions for recipes using the John Baker bait range can be forund here.

The new Shimano Purist range has now arrived and there are two new barbel rods amongst it which offer great performance at a reasonable price. Take a look at the new Purist 11-12ft 1½lb Barbel Multi Classic and the Purist 12-13ft 2lb Barbel Multi Power both of which are already selling well.
